A Yui of your own
Today Yui is the screen and you bring the agent. The plan is that Yui answers on your first launch, with a starter crew and nothing to install. And for people who want more, a real Hermes of their own. Here is that plan, in plain words.

This is a plan. Nothing on this page works yet. We planned it on Sep 26, and the build starts now.
Today, Yui is the screen and the brains are yours. You install Yui, add an agent, and pair one you run yourself: Hermes, OpenClaw, anything that speaks MCP or A2A, or a webhook. That stays true through the public beta.
It also means a stranger who signs in finds an empty list. If you do not run an agent, Yui has nothing to say to you. The plan fixes that.

Nothing to install, no code, no key.Every person who signs in gets their own Yui. She is first in the list and talks on the first launch. She helps, hands you to the right agent, and makes a new one when you ask. "Make me a Spanish tutor" is meant to be enough.
Beside her sits a starter crew: a trainer, Basil for food, Gouda for music, Penny for plans and lists, Quill for study.
What the first launch should feel like

The first 100 turns a month are on Yui. After that you add your own key from any provider. Keys go in through Settings, never in chat.
Where it runs
On our server, not on your phone. The app stays the screen. It lends its hands: the camera, the timer, the synth. Your messages go through the same relay every agent uses today.
That is why one Yui can reach every client. iPhone first, then the web, a Mac and Android, all the same Yui with no agent code of their own. Your agents, their settings and what they remember are tied to your account. Sign in on a new phone and they are all there.
Tier 2: a real Hermes of your own

Putting everyone on one Hermes is not safe: an agent with a shell could reach other people's files. So the plan is one sandbox per person that sleeps when you are quiet and pairs itself, so you never type a code.
Your native agents can come along when you move. Tier 2 is a spec today, and it runs on your own model key. The build waits until tier 1 ships.
